DESCRIPTION:FALL RALLY 9/6/2025 & 9/7/2025 \nDivisions: Stock\, Super Stock\, Masters \nRace Fee: $30 per race if racing all 4 races\, or $120 for the weekend\, otherwise $35 per race. Make check payable to GCSBD. No cash please. New first time racers from the Chicago Local racing area cost is $10 per race for their 1st 12 months of racing. \nNew to soap box derby racing? Let us know you are coming and your child can use 1 of our cars to race for the day or the weekend. There is no charge to use the car\, new 1st time Chicago racer fee is $10 for each race\, we run 2 races each day. Not ready to start racing right away\, stop by and take a test run to see what soap box derby racing is like. \nGroupon coupons are only for new first time Chicago Local racers that do not have a rally ID assigned to their name. \nLocation of Track: We are racing on Frontenac Road and Diehl Road in Naperville\, IL. Or use Google Maps and search for “Chicago soap box derby rally race“ \nRegistration: Preregistration is required by Tuesday Prior to the race. \nWe accept checks made out to GCSBD or electronic payment via Venmo – Greater Chicago Soap Box Derby or Zelle\, search for LesleeSennholtz@yahoo.com NO CASH PLEASE \nRequest for refunds must be submitted before the end of the race weekend or the 1st Tuesday of the following month. Request for refunds must be sent via email. \nRace day app. Chicago is the only race city with a website to track your racing times.\nClick to follow the race from your device. Race day App \nRacers: Race day schedule \n7:30am Scales and Registration open\n8:15am Registration closes and heat pairings will be drawn at the registration table. \nPlease be present at that time if you want to see the pairings being drawn.\n8:30am Drivers meeting and racing to begin at 9am\nTimes subject to change.\nSpectators:\nRacing starts around 9am. We are generally finished racing around 3pm. No charge for spectators.\nYou’re welcome to bring a lawn chair as there is no seating. There will be a porta potty on site and often we have a concession stand during lunchtime. When you enter the intersection of Diehl and Frontenac Road you will see the road closed signs. Just ease past the barricades and let someone know you are there to watch the race and they will direct you where to park.\nIf you have kids that are at least seven years old they are welcome to take a test run down the track in one of our cars.
